TeamCache holds team-money. We treat that responsibility the way a real bank does, because the money sits in one — and we built the rest to match.
Money custody
Funds are held by our partner bank, FDIC-insured up to $250,000 per wallet. TeamCache never holds your money in its own accounts.
Card security
Every card is tokenized. Card numbers never live on a coach's phone. Visa zero-liability covers fraudulent charges.
Account protection
Multi-factor by default. Device-bound sessions. Lost-phone recovery without a password reset that exposes the wallet.
Data security
TLS 1.3 in flight. AES-256 at rest. Per-tenant encryption keys for league data. Annual penetration tests.
Kids' privacy
We follow COPPA. Children under 13 have no direct accounts; their data lives under a parent record, fully redactable on request.
Operational compliance
SOC 2 Type II audit in progress (target Q3 2026). Background checks on every employee with prod access. Quarterly access review.
What "your money is safe" actually means here.
If we go away tomorrow.
Wallet balances live at the partner bank. If TeamCache disappears, you withdraw your money directly from the bank. We are an interface, not a custodian.
If a coach loses their phone.
Their session ends. The team card is paused. A backup admin (or your league) can lift the freeze in two taps. No money sits at risk waiting for support to respond.
If a parent questions a charge.
Every transaction has the event, requester, recipient, and a receipt thumbnail. Most disputes resolve in the app without ever pinging the bank's chargeback process.
